about

The Democratic Republic of Congo possesses one of the world’s most significant endowments of natural resources, positioning it as a crucial supplier of materials essential for the global energy transition and technological advancement. With 70% of the world’s cobalt reserves, substantial copper deposits, emerging lithium resources, and significant quantities of tin, tantalum, tungsten, and rare earth elements, the DRC offers unparalleled investment opportunities across the mining value chain.

Beyond minerals, the DRC boasts Africa’s largest hydroelectric potential, estimated at 100,000 MW, with the Grand Inga Dam project alone capable of generating 40,000 MW when fully developed. This clean energy potential could power not only the DRC but also large parts of Africa, supporting industrialization while contributing to global climate goals.

The country is also home to the second-largest rainforest in the world, covering 155 million hectares. This vast carbon sink represents a significant opportunity for carbon finance through REDD+ projects and other sustainable forestry initiatives, offering investors the chance to participate in high-quality carbon credit markets while supporting biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.

With a strategic location at the heart of Africa, a young and growing population of over 100 million, and ongoing improvements in governance and infrastructure, the DRC is poised to transform its abundant natural resources into sustainable economic development that benefits both its people and global partners.
